Household & cleaning supplies

Washing-up liquid, sponges and scourers, wipes, multi-purpose sprays, bin bags, toilet paper, kitchen roll, matches and lighters: the ship's cleaning cupboard, the thing that keeps a week for five in one saloon liveable.

Prefer biodegradable products suitable for the marine environment: what goes down a boat's sink often ends up straight in the water. Toilet paper must break down quickly so as not to block marine heads, a classic and particularly unpleasant failure on a cruise.

Order generously on bin bags and kitchen roll: those are the two consumables that always run out before the end of the trip.
