Frozen ready meals

Frozen ready meals are a cruise's meal insurance: lasagne, gratins, pizzas, slow-cooked dishes and complete pan meals that need only an oven or a frying pan and fifteen minutes of attention.

They take over on evenings when you arrive late and the crew is tired after a long passage, or when the sea makes proper cooking impractical. Unlike tins, they keep the taste and texture of a cooked dish.

Reckon on two or three per week per crew, and keep them at the bottom of the freezer: they are the last you will take out, so they should suffer least from repeated opening.
