Eggs

Eggs are probably the most useful fresh item on board: they cook ten different ways, need almost no preparation and keep far better than most people expect. Unwashed and kept out of the heat, they will last several weeks without refrigeration.

We offer boxes of six and twelve for short trips, and trays for larger crews or week-long charters. Trays stow flat at the bottom of a locker easily enough, as long as they are protected from knocks.

A simple freshness check mid-cruise: drop the egg into a glass of water — if it floats to the surface, it is best not to eat it.
